The District 21 Community Service Center and Administrative Office is a 3-story facility constructed as a result of CCSD 21’s desire to provide the most services to their district families. This includes health and wellness services dedicated to the community with support for families; conference rooms and collaborative spaces for district administrative teams; flexible group spaces meeting the district’s professional development needs; & a boardroom suitable for Board of Education meetings or staff presentations.
“A Single Dream is more powerful than a thousand realities.” — Nathaniel Hawthorne CCSD 21 is distinguished by its 13 schools, which serve a diverse community across six distinct neighborhoods. Addressing the complex needs of such a varied population, the district is dedicated to focusing on the ‘whole child’— offering exceptional education, opportunities, and services to ensure student success. Responding to these growing needs and the vital importance of mental and physical health services, CCSD 21 undertook a visionary project to build a facility that embodies the principles of holistic support. The result is the District 21 Community Service Center and Administrative Office, a three-story structure designed to integrate and streamline services for the district’s families and staff. With health and wellness a priority, the first level is devoted to comprehensive mental and physical health services including medical facilities equipped with treatment rooms, labs, and private therapy rooms ensuring confidentiality and individualized care. This design consolidates essential services into a single, accessible location, enhancing convenience and support for families. The upper floors house flexible spaces for staff training and professional development, as well as administrative offices. A spacious board room suitable for board meetings and large presentations is located on the top floor. The new building stands as a testament to CCSD 21’s commitment to its core values and its vision for supporting the entire community.
