Suite 700 at 37 Ottawa is a 8,500 SF workplace supporting one team of a larger international company. The interior renovation design showcases original exposed brick and wooden beams, high ceilings, and picturesque windows. These are complemented by modern amenities, accessibility, and breathtaking views at the heart of the city of Grand Rapids.
As an already established design company, the client acquired their Grand Rapids office in 2018. The acquisition expanded their staff and the overall portfolio of the company with a more specialized focus on commercial, hospitality, and workplace clients. The new space was designed to foster team collaboration and co-creation. The building was built in 1887 for Grand Rapids Refrigerator Company. Inside the building at 37 Ottawa are suites whose sizes range between 2,000 SF and 30,000 SF, with the new Grand Rapids team occupying the penthouse floor. The dynamic and playful design of the new workplace activates all five senses to keep the mind stimulated throughout the workday, boosting employee motivation and morale. Harvesting the hospitality of home, the designers were able to create a workplace that serves as the best place to get work done. By offering a space full of transparency, comfort, accessibility, and flexibility - this new workplace has earned the commute of its Grand Rapids talent.
