The nature-centered design for Center Parc Credit Union’s flagship branch embraces their aspiration to be a place where members of the neighborhood and community can gather, like a “community park”. The 6,085sf branch design celebrates the natural landscape with expansive views of the trees and surrounding nature, and the three curved heavy timber framed roof structures highlight the main interior spaces with clerestory glazing providing ample natural lighting throughout the space.
The new flagship branch for Center Parc Credit Union celebrates nature with expansive views of the trees and surrounding landscape, and the clerestory glazing provides ample natural lighting throughout the space. Three heavy timber curved roof structures mimic Center Parc’s logo on the exterior and the exposed wood construction is highlighted inside at the entrance, lobby, and community room spaces. Park-like features were incorporated including reclaimed wood feature walls, slatted wood ceilings and millwork accents, and natural stone walls creating a space that feels connected with nature. Amenities in the facility, including a branded coffee bar, technology center, and comfortable lounge area, invite the community to relax and stay a while. A water feature highlights the brand wall behind the welcome center and enhances the member experience by offering cognitive restoration. Variations of green in the carpet tiles tie in the vibrant colors of Center Parc’s brand and add interest by mimicking sunlight shining through the trees onto the ground at a neighborhood park. Acoustical baffles over the teller pods undulate like the underside of a tree’s canopy and offer acoustical privacy for member transactions. Live wall accents at focal walls behind the digital display in the waiting area, in the coffee and tech bar area, and at the brand wall in the community room, add texture and biophilic elements to these spaces.
