Overview
This 40,000 sf center is a public-private partnership of Indy Parks and Community Health Network advocating a healthy lifestyle. Indy Parks' 25,000 sf two-story portion is programmed with all-day multi-generational use with a full court gymnasium, elevated indoor walk running track, group exercise, multi-purpose rooms, "kid zone" indoor play apparatus with party room, flexible social gathering space in public areas, park offices, and group fitness.
The Broad Ripple Park Family Center serves the entire Indy Park community as part of a planned signature and sustainable Park while promoting health and fitness within the Broad Ripple Village community. Serving more than 300,000 people annually, according to Indy Parks, the Broad Ripple Family Center is a place to play, explore, and find unlimited opportunities through many recreation programs and wellness opportunities. A kitchen supports multi-purpose rooms, strategically located as a point of sale for the future riverwalk. The main common entry for both Indy Parks and Community Health Network welcomes all. The 15,000 sf Community Health Outpatient Clinic is programmed with consultation rooms, and physical therapy treatment spaces. Several consistent design elements transitioning from Indy Parks side include exposed ceilings at check-in/ out, curved ceilings and light fixtures.
