Overview
A client since 1989, the most recent project for GROB is a new 3-story, 46,000 sf cafeteria and sales office building. Our team focused on GROB's desire for a modern German design aesthetic. This is manifest throughout the building's exterior and interior connection in many ways, including incorporating the large patio with a custom designed steel pergola with direct access to the cafeteria and the management dining room. The project also includes green rooftop gardens.
GROB is an international manufacturer of precision machine tools used in the aerospace, automotive, and medical industries. The Bluffton, Ohio, manufacturing facility is its North American headquarters. The campus is comprised of a 5-story executive office building, more than 400,000 sf of industrial manufacturing space, and a series of smaller administrative and engineering research and design buildings. Recent growth in its industry prompted GROB to undertake a new 3-story office building expansion that now provides 46,000 sf of new office space, conferencing areas, and a modern cafeteria.
