The Row Fulton Market

Stantec Architecture Inc · Chicago, IL

Overview

The Row Fulton Market is a 43-story luxury multifamily new construction skyscraper in Chicago’s historic Fulton Market neighborhood. The 550,000-square-foot structure features convertible, one-, two-, and three-bedroom residences. The development features 300 units, 20% of which are reserved as affordable. The exterior features a dark metal façade, reflecting Fulton Market’s industrial past, and the curved gusset beams in the upper corners of the window wall system mirror the supports beneath the nearby ‘L’ tracks.

The Row Fulton Market is the first major building built under new Affordable Housing Illinois legislation, with an 80/20 ratio of market rate to affordable units, for 60 affordable residences. The AOR worked closely with the Design Architect on this 43-story building that features studio, one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom residences, including penthouses. The design of the building includes masonry and metal detailing indicative of and to compliment the elegant and historic style of the surrounding Fulton Market neighborhood and the steel framing of Chicago’s Lake Street “EL” structure adjacent to the property. Residents enjoy abundant amenities, including a fitness center, yoga room, children’s playroom, co-working space, party room, swimming pool, outdoor grilling stations. The project includes on-site structured parking for the residents.
