Overview
A small "historic" renovation of an existing neighborhood icon. We wanted our design to be contextual and employed the use of similar materials and architectural design convention. We also wanted to update the exterior by opening up the exterior wall with glazing to provide more natural light.
We renovated a 60 year old bar, Johnsons "Lucky" 7. The structure was gutted and renovated for a new dental clinic. 60 years of grease, burgers and fish frys needed to be abated. We added a new entry vestibule and a new reception area was designed. The addtion was added to the North to incorporate 11 operatories and office ancillary areas. Site, parking and landscaping was revised to accomodate the addition. The addition was clad in similar brick to tie it into the existing building. The addtion was opened up with glass for more natural lighting to help increase comfort for the patient and help with patient and techincian mood.
