Center Parc Credit Union's new Savannah branch embodies its commitment to helping members flourish financially and providing a community gathering place. The challenge was to create a space that would best serve the financial needs of the credit union’s members and be welcoming as a neighborhood meeting place, while reflecting the brand's nature-inspired ethos. Our design solution simulated a community park, integrating the surrounding landscape through expansive views and clerestory glazing, flooding the interior with natural light. Three curved, heavy timber roof structures echo Center Parc's logo on the exterior, while exposed wood construction captures the eye in the interior entrance, lobby, and community room. Park-like elements, including reclaimed wood feature walls, slatted wood ceilings and millwork accents, and natural stone walls, foster a connection to nature. The branch offers a branded coffee bar, technology center, and lounge area, inviting the community to linger. A water feature behind the welcome center provides cognitive restoration, enhancing the member experience. Green carpet tiles in vibrant colors of Center Parc’s brand mimic dappled sunlight shining through tree leaves. Acoustical baffles above teller pods resemble a tree canopy while providing acoustical privacy. Live wall accents in focal areas add texture and biophilic elements, completing the nature-inspired design. The result is a welcoming, community-centered space that seamlessly blends financial services with the tranquility of a neighborhood park.
