GROB is an international manufacturer of precision machine tools. The Bluffton, Ohio, manufacturing facility is GROB’s North American manufacturing headquarters, comprising a 5-story executive office building, more than 400,000 sf of industrial manufacturing space, and a series of smaller administrative and engineering research and design buildings. Recent growth in its industry prompted GROB to undertake a new 3-story office building expansion, providing 46,000 sf of new office space, conferencing areas, and a large cafeteria.
GROB is an international manufacturer of precision machine tools used in the aerospace, automotive, and medical industries. The Bluffton, Ohio, manufacturing facility is GROB’s North American manufacturing headquarters, comprising a 5-story executive office building, more than 400,000 sf of industrial manufacturing space, and a series of smaller administrative and engineering research and design buildings. Recent growth in its industry prompted GROB to undertake a new 3-story office building expansion, providing 46,000 sf of new office space, conferencing areas, and a large cafeteria. The lower level consists of a main lobby, main dining room and serving areas, kitchen and support space, and an executive dining room. The second floor contains sales offices and a multi-room conference suite. The third floor is reserved for future expansion. GROB has maintained a tradition of attention to quality and detail at each of its’ campuses, from the operation of its’ facilities to the experience of its’ end-users. In working to maintaining that tradition in Bluffton, Ohio, through the careful composition of material, massing, detail and design elements, the design team created a distinctive light- filled addition to the existing campus, providing employees an outstanding working, dining, and meeting environment.
