MidAmerica National Bank

The MidAmerica National Bank main office project is an impressive 29,510sf facility that is a modern twist on a traditional building. Design priorities include maximizing visual and acoustical privacy for customers; designing functional spaces for financial equipment, employees, and customers that provide comfort and better operational efficiency; and incorporating the new retail models and amenities that clients desire, such as focal points to attract customers to product offerings, creating a path of travel and engaging areas for consultations, and spaces for coffee and relaxing. The large, welcoming, double height lobby is the key architectural detail that first draws in and welcomes customers and employees. The clerestory above the lobby allows natural lighting to flood the interior and provides a warm, inviting retail space. The clerestory also maximizes natural lighting into the interior workspaces that don’t have direct access to perimeter windows. The exterior of the building is a modern twist on a traditional building. The use of traditional brick with a traditional looking cornice is blended with the more modern metal panels and tall curtainwall windows. The use of solar shades reduce glare at interior spaces while adding interest to the exterior facade. The latest technology was incorporated that will increase operational efficiencies, enhance the customer’s retail experience, and offer employees an enriching and engaging space to work.
