Wintrust - Rockford Community Bank

Rockford Community Bank is the newest addition to Wintrust’s portfolio of banks in the Midwest. Wintrust’s design philosophy focuses on 2 essential ideas: 1) non “cookie-cutter” designs that are sympathetic to the neighborhoods they are located in. 2) simple palettes of materials that convey a strength and security appropriate to a respected financial institution. The building is clad in masonry with a stone base with stone window surrounds. A masonry tower element identifies the main entry, providing a prominent landmark along the well-traveled Perryville Road corridor. It distinguishes it from the other adjacent retail and commercial facilities, especially at night, when interior lighting gives the tower a lantern like glow. Upon entry you are easily oriented to the main teller line through direct visibility and hard surface flooring materials as well as a vaulted ceiling with distinctive light fixtures. On either side are open and private office areas under a high ceiling. Clerestory windows on 3 sides bring direct sunlight into the main banking hall making for a friendly and inviting environment for both staff and customers. Support areas for various banking related functions including a vault and coupon room as well as teller line support spaces are arranged on one side in a very efficient layout. A multi-use room provides a space for bank related educational activities or for the use of the public.
