Gotham Greens at Pullman Park

Gotham Greens at Pullman Park embodies the future of farming: a high-tech, hydroponic greenhouse and support building located in Chicago's historic Pullman District. The facility combines an 86,000 SF fully-automated greenhouse with a 13,700 SF support support building that houses areas for harvesting and packaging produce, as well as a high-end corporate office environment. Entering the facility, building users experience a Lobby and Breakroom space that is bathed in light, with full-height glazing on both east and west elevations. Generous views of a busy city are visible through the entrance curtainwall, which is opposite large monolithic lights of glass that look onto rows of lettuce and basil in the greenhouse. The Lobby and Breakroom is a communal gathering space where employees can dine and socialize together, as well as provide setting for breakout meetings. A glass enclosed conference room separates the Lobby from the Greenhouse; to the north of the conference room is an open office with stairs leading up to a Mezzanine with commanding views of the Greenhouse below. The Greenhouse is a fully automated smart factory where elevated plant conveyors advance across the length of the building and seedlings grow into plants ready for market. Through innovations in modern agriculture, Gotham Greens at Pullman Park meets the needs of the community by bringing food from farm to table in an urban environment.
